Cisco has today announced it has found an executive to head up the company in Australia and New Zealand, Richard Kitts.

The role was left empty mid last year when former head Les Williamson was promoted to be vice president for the Asia-Pacific region. However, even though the ANZ role has not been filled during all this time, Kitts won't be starting in his new position until March.

Kitts previously worked at Nokia-Siemens Networks (NSN), where he had been for 10 years. The last position he held with NSN was managing director, Indonesia. He has also spent time with Motorola in Europe and Asia.

Kitts will work out of Cisco's North Sydney office and will report to Williamson.

"I am looking forward to welcoming Richard to Cisco. Richard brings an excellent track record of achievement in people leadership, business management and customer engagement, and we are very pleased that he has decided to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to Cisco and our customers and partners," said Williamson.
