Citrix is continuing to update itself for the social and mobile enterprise set with the debut of the new Citrix Podio for iPad app.

Touted to be "completely reimagined" for the iOS-based tablet, the app is intended to enhance typical business processes such as CRM, project management and recruiting with collaboration tools.

Tommy Ahlers, vice president of Social Collaboration at Citrix, remarked further in a statement that this app "completes our vision of empowering people to work from anywhere, with anyone, on any device, using a tool that perfectly fits the way they want to work."

The app's features are based upon Podio's core functions, such as workspaces, tasks, activity streams, meetings and calendars.

It also makes more than 700 free, pre-built apps from the Podio App Market available to iPad users. That also includes third-party support from popular enterprise software providers such as Zendesk, GoToMeeting, and Freshbooks, among others.

Users can also utilize the App Builder to create their own apps suited to their own work requirements.

For reference, Citrix acquired Podio in April, which in turn helped beef up Citrix's collaboration solutions portfolio.

The Citrix Podio for iPad app is available now and free to download from the iTunes App Store. For a closer look at the app, check out the promo video below:
