Dominic: Intel paid us a fee for the “professional” video — they don’t sponsor the ScobleShow. So far only Seagate sponsors my show. I would have done this video either way. Intel is a corporate client of ours.

It turns out that Intel paid a fee to PodTech.net, not for Scoble's video, but for the NPR-style video produced by Jason Lopez. Scoble wrote a blog post last night praising the Lopez video, and noted that it was "produced with Intel."
Since the video was posted on January 27th at 12:20 am, it hasn't carried any notice that the content was commissioned by Intel. The video features only Intel executives, so it's clearly not meant to be an investigative piece. Given it was commissioned by Intel, it's "advertorial," and should be labeled as such on the Web page and in the video stream.
"Intel asked us to do a Nova-like piece to capture the story, and it came out well," my friend John Furrier, CEO of PodTech.net, explained to me. "We are correcting the site to clarify that it was commissioned by Intel. Intel did see the video before it went live, but there were no edits to it."
