Cloud-based project app now supports repetitive tasks

Summary:AceProject, which includes a free entry-level option for small business, now can account for recurring items that happen daily, weekly, monthly or annually.

Online project management and collaboration application AceProject has been updated to support recurring to-do items and team tasks at the request of the application's users.

AceProject is a collaboration platform typically used by teams of 20 to 50 people, according to Sylvain Traversy, marketing director for Websystems, which develops the software. The base version of the software is free, which makes it useful for small companies; there are companion native mobile apps available for both Android and Apple iOS.

The new recurring tasks feature can be used to add project components that repeat on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. Most other online project management applications handle recurrences as online events on a calendar that offer limited support when it comes to collaboration, according to Websystems.

Other features of AceProject include expense and time tracking, support for Gantt charts, and document management, Traversy said.
