CNN: Best coverage of Bush's "the Internets" and "the Google"

Summary:You'd have to be hiding under a rock to not have heard about how President Bush has publicly referred to the Internet as "the Internets" and Google as "the Google." But as a Friday end-cap, before you wrap things up, be sure to check out CNN's coverage of GW's alleged gaffs.

You'd have to be hiding under a rock to not have heard about how President Bush has publicly referred to the Internet as "the Internets" and Google as "the Google." But as a Friday end-cap, before you wrap things up, be sure to check out CNN's coverage of GW's alleged gaffs. CNN's piece was probably inspired by the Wall St. Journal's coverage (which is cited in the video). It's very well done and even points out that Bush could technically be right in referring to the Internet given the existence of Internet 2 (based on Internet Protocol version 6... don't ask). Had they asked me, I would have agreed that there's more than one Internet. But my response would be based more on the way the Internet may soon boil down to a collection of government sanctioned stovepipes whose walled gardens are maintained by the communications and digital rights management cartels.
