The LG Phenom is a Windows CE handheld that packs a 21.6Kbps software modem, two nickel metal hydride batteries and a screen that offers a 640 x 240 resolution. The unit is based on Hitachi's SuperH RISC processor. A colour display version is promised for the second quarter of 1998.

Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and Sharp all showed colour CE 2.0 handhelds at the Nevada exhibition.

Separately, LG showed its NetChamp NC, a CD-RW drive and a 15.1-in TFT monitor.
