The Commonwealth Bank has had a less than stellar night after its internet services and ATM network crashed, cutting millions off from their cash.
The Commonwealth Bank blamed a connection failure for the issue, which cut off its customers from approximately 6pm AEDST onwards.
"We're aware of issues with our NetBank, ATM and EFTPOS services," the bank said in a statement on its website.
"A number of customers may also be experiencing issues accessing our contact centres and phone banking.
"The issues are related to network connectivity problems.
"We are working to resolve the issues and restore services as soon as possible."
The bank couldn't say how many customers were affected or give a time when services would be restored until a tweet four hours later from the bank's online services team declared the fault rectified .
"NetBank, ATM and EFTPOS services have been restored. We are very sorry for the impact to your evening," the bank said.
