Compaq debuts e-procurement

Compaq Computer Corp. has announced a business-to-business electronic procurement system designed to help customers lower supply chain costs.

Compaq will work with Microsoft Corp., Clarus Corp. and CommerceOne to create and deliver the services, which will include planning, design, piloting, project management, implementation and enterprise rollout. In addition, a customer can outsource the infrastructure for the procurement system to Compaq.
