Compaq takes 'Better answers' presentations on the road

Compaq is organising a series of free roadshows, where visitors can hear presentations from industry high fliers on a variety of current IT issues, followed by lunch on the organisers.

The 'Better answers' roadshows will be hosted by the BBC's Chris Serle, with input from Microsoft, Intel, SCO, Oracle, and Novell. Addressing topics such as "NT vs. Unix; Network management; Systems management. Business issues: Cost of ownership; Investment protection; Service and support; the Internet. Key trends: Rise of NT; Clustering; 64-bit computing; OS trends; Proprietary vs. industry standards, High availability; Storage and backup."

The first roadshows will take place in London on the 17th and 18th of November, at the Stakis Metropole Hotel, near Paddington. Further dates have been confirmed for Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
