CompuServe offers global computer superstore

CompuServe has launched new online computer shopping site that claims to offer more than 50,000 software and hardware products worldwide. Unlike other content offerings from the company, this new mega computer store will be offered over the web. The service will be produced in conjunction with online retailing company NetSales, the CompuServe Computing Shop claims to offer secure shopping online.

Many of the software products will be available for download although traditional delivery methods will also be supported. The service also offers extensive customer support which will be available 16 hours per day, seven days a week.

The Computing Shop will also offer a Deal of the Day - a discounted hardware or software product. CompuServe subscribers will also receive further special discounts.
