Crazy purchase - Death magnet!

I’ve been on the lookout for a really strong but compact magnet for some time now, so when I came across one called the DEATH MAGNET (yes, the name is capitalized like that) I just had to buy one.  This is a 2 inch x 2 inch x 1 inch neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) magnet that claims to have a maximum clamping force of 220lb. 

I’ve just picked up the DEATH MAGNET from my local DHL depot and this thing is insane.  It was packaged extremely well for shipping but as soon as I started to unwrap it I began to realize just how powerful this magnet really is – you really don’t want to get yourself between it and some ferrous metal.  I’ve not finished unwrapped it yet but I’ve decided to leave playing with it for today.  To pass the time someone at SuperMagnete.de kindly included 20 small but incredibly powerful magnetic cubes for me to play with.

What do I need a monster magnet for with 220lb of clamping force for?  Well, I’ll show you in a few days ;-)
