Credit Union Australia (CUA) is set to embark on a two-year transformation project around its online banking platform.
Indian-based IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its scope of work with CUA, taking out the contract for the new online banking system.
TCS also won a contract with CUA this year to replace the credit union's home-grown core banking system with the BaNCS platform.
CUA chief Chris Whitehead said that the selection of TCS for the online revamp made sense given its existing work on the core banking system.
"Following the selection of TCS to implement our core banking system, we also reviewed TCS BaNCS online banking platform and determined it would meet both the needs of our business and our customers for the long term.
"The benefit of having one partner delivering an integrated technology solution also brings obvious advantages," Whitehead said in a statement today.
President of TCS Financial Solutions, N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, said that the new software will "connect customers to CUA's broad range of products and services including deposits, loans and payments in a highly interactive and user-friendly mobile banking environment".
"We are confident this transformation program will assist CUA to drive profit with growth," he continued.
