Start-up company Danger and cellular carrier Edge Wireless announced Tuesday the availability of a device based on the Hiptop reference design. The all-in-one device comes with a color display and a keyboard and allows consumers to make voice calls as well as wirelessly surf the Web and access e-mail. Danger created the design as a means of providing a hardware design to carry its software and services. Pricing for the device will vary depending on the service plan a consumer chooses.

Edge Wireless is a member of the AT&T Wireless network and serves markets in Northern California.
