Lastminute.com announced today that its £59m acquisition of French travel agent Degriftour in August will shorten the time it takes to reach profitability.

The announcement came as the company reported a slight increase in fourth quarter net losses - up to £9.47m. Lastminute.com also reported a rise of 37 per cent in the number of registered users - up to 2.85 million at the end of September. However, only around five per cent of registered users have so far made a purchase. By Ben Hope
