After being unveiled way back in March, you might have forgotten about the Dell Aero. But the new smartphone is finally available and on shelves today with AT&T.

Dell's entry into the smartphone market runs on Android 1.5 (yes, gulp), with a bunch of other software preloaded. That includes the Google suite of apps, access to the Android Market, Quick Office, and (of course) Facebook.

Other key notes of interest include:

  • 3.5-inch capacitive multi-touch display (640 x 360 resolution)
  • 2GB of onboard storage
  • microSD card slot (up to 32GB)
  • Tri-band HSDPA
  • Quad-band EDGE
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • GPS/A-GPS
  • 5-megapixel camera with 8x zoom lens and flash

The Dell Aero is retailing for $99.99 with the signing of a two-year service agreement. Those who prefer to pick up this handheld without a commitment can choose to pay $299.99.
