Dell last week added an ultraportable PC to its Latitude family of corporate notebooks. The Latitude C400, which weighs just 1.63kg, can be attached to an optional battery pack that Dell said can extend its battery life to an impressive seven hours.

The C400 is based on Intel's Mobile Pentium III-M processor, offering a maximum clock speed of 1.2GHz, and can be expanded to 1GB of memory. It has a 12.1in TFT screen, supporting a resolution of 1024x768. --Daniel Robinson, IT Week
