Dell India opens customer support facility

Computer company Dell today launched its International Services and opened a customer support facility at Whitefield, near Bangalore in India.

SINGAPORE--Computer company Dell today launched its International Services and opened a customer support facility at Whitefield, near Bangalore in India.

Dell International Services is a division of Dell Computer India Pte Ltd.

According to a company statement, the customer support facility will handle telephone and email support issues for Dell systems. Initially, it will support Dell's Home and Small Business customers in the US, but will expand this service to customers in other regions in future.

Currently, Dell employs around 150 people in this operation. The company says it is looking to expand Dell International Services capabilities in India, based on performance and market demand.
