Dell shaves OptiPlex prices further
Dell today followed its August PC price cuts with further reductions in its OptiPlex line of corporate desktops.
The Dell OptiPlex GXPro 180, with 180MHz Pentium processor, 32Mb RAM, 1Gb hard drive and running Windows NT Workstation 4.0 has dropped from around £1,890 + VAT to £1,700 + VAT. The 200MHz Pentium model with a similar specification has fallen from around £2,170 + VAT to £1,950 + VAT. The 11 per cent price cuts follow August's reductions of around 15 per cent.
