Hey, remember when I wrote about the wildly overpriced Dell Adamo luxury ultraportable notebook two weeks ago and asked if we were falling out of love with the underpowered, overpriced laptop?

Turns out someone was listening.

Without updating a single piece of hardware -- yes, the system is still very much behind the ball in terms of CPU, memory, battery life and weight -- Dell has slashed the price of both the 1.2GHz $1,999 and 1.4GHz $2,699 models to a slightly less repulsive $1,499 and $2,299, respectively.

That still leaves it trailing Apple's MacBook Air, which offers a 1.86 GHz model for $1,499 and a more comparable 2.13 GHz model with a 128GB SSD for $1,799.

But hey, don't take my word for it. Look at the sales numbers yourself.
