Dell teams up with Salesforce on cloud tools for SMEs

Dell is teaming up with Salesforce.com on a Software-as-a-Service platform targeted at small and medium-sized businesses.

At Dreamforce 2011 in San Francisco on Tuesday, Dell introduced its new Cloud Business Applications. The package has the following features: integration with existing software; real-time business visibility and analytics; and comprehensive services. Dell said it will help customers design, develop and deploy the cloud applications that work best for their business.

Dell is also integrating Salesforce's CRM (customer relationship management) system and connecting the Salesforce Sales Cloud to a variety of applications including Microsoft Dynamics and Intuit QuickBooks.
