Details of first Asus Core i7 mobile-based laptop revealed

Asus has published details of its M60J 16-in. entertainment laptop, sporting a spankin' new Intel Core i7 Mobile processor.

Specifically, the notebook features the Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz or 820QM 1.73GHz processors.

The laptop also offers an NVIDIA GeForce GT240M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space (via two HDDs) and a choice of DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive.

The notebook manages 1366×768 pixel resolution from its 16-inch display.

More features: A built-in 2-megapixel camera, 802.11n wireless, Gigabit LAN port, HDMI and VGA outputs, four USB ports, an eSATA port, an ExpressCard slot, a 4-in-1 media card reader, fingerprint reader, stereo speakers and Bluetooth (select models).

No info on pricing or availabilit, but keep an eye out for two new Intel Core i7 gaming machines coming around the bend: the 16-inch G60J and 15.6-inch G51J.
