Dial-up in Western Europe: falling, but still important

IDC predicts that the number of consumer broadband connections in Western Europe will grow to almost 50 mln by the end of 2007, up from 18.7 mln in 2003. Meanwhile, the number of consumer dial-up connections will fall by 9%, from 52.5m connections at the end of 2003 to 34.2m connections in 2007.
