The datacentre is located in Deer Park, some 17km from Melbourne CBD, where there is ample space for the 8,690 square metre facility.

The building comprises four of Digital Realty's 1440kW FlexSM datahalls, designed to be modular and support either hot or cold aisle cooling. A similar approach has been established at Digital Realty's Erskine Park datacentre launched in January this year and located in Western Sydney.

The other already-established datacentre in Melbourne has National Australia Bank as one of the tenants. Digital Realty has invested AU$150 million into Melbourne's west with two facilities, which in 2012 were expected to bring AU$365 million into the region. The datacentres together create around 450 indirect jobs and 33 directly .
