Dimension Data partners up with NextDC

Summary:IT service provider Dimension Data will begin selling NextDC datacentre offerings.

Dimension Data has teamed up with NextDC to add the datacentre service provider's offerings to its growing enterprise portfolio.

Just last month, Dimension Data partnered up with enterprise IT consultancy company Oakton to develop joint solutions to appeal to enterprise and government customers.

Under the new agreement, Dimension Data will be able to begin selling NextDC's OneDC datacentre-as-a-service rack product, or bundle it with its own stack from any of NextDC's five datacentre colocation facilities across Australia. More facilities are expected to come online in the coming months.

"This partnership allows Dimension Data to provide our clients with state-of-the-art datacentre space strategically located close to the five capital cities, and the ability to manage both production and disaster recovery in a cost-effective manner," Dimension Data general manager for datacentre services Peter Prowse said in a statement. "We can also ensure the highest levels of availability and business agility."

NextDC's CEO Craig Scroggie said he believes that this is the start of a long and successful relationship with Dimension Data.
