The 3DTV content is coming to go along with those price television sets just hitting the market.

DirecTV said it will add ESPN 3D, a sports network, to ride along with two other channels---on demand and pay-per-view in 3D. The ESPN 3D launch lands just in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. ESPN will also deliver the X Games and college football and basketball games through 2010 and 2011.

The company said DirectTV's HD subscribers will get ESPN 3D as part of the bundle.

Who's buying? You can get these channels and a new Samsung 55-inch 3DTV for about $3,000 or so. Nudge me when these 3DTVs fall about $2,000.
