Dish Network is gearing up to launch DishOnline.com, another new streaming portal with on-demand episodes available online and from set-top boxes connected to the Internet.
Available for subscribers (current and anyone who wants to join up because of this), the beta site will officially open its doors tomorrow. Programming will be minimal at first but substantial, with MTV, the Discovery Channel and HGTV already signed on. There should even be some free content for all, but that will be restricted more to movie trailers and clips.
Just like with the good ol' set-top box, users should be able to make use of DVR scheduling with the new portal.
