Not exactly a new revelation. All the major software vendors are working hard to simplify their hard-to-integrate, complex applications with more modular, adaptable components and development environments. They adapted to the Internet by providing Web-based user interfaces to their products. It's part of the move to on-demand applications, which salesforce.com is trumpeting with more disruptive notes at its user conference this week in San Francisco.
