DSL growth will help business - report

More than one-fifth of European businesses will use digital subscriber lines (DSL) as part of their online business strategy by 2004, according to a new report by U.K. analyst firm Datamonitor.

Datamonitor's technical analyst, Ian Williams, said: "The bandwidth bottleneck in the SME market looks to become a thing of the past with the advent of cheaper bandwidth technologies. ADSL, and to a lesser extent cable, will offer high bandwidth solutions to small businesses, with speed previously only available to richer companies."
