It's Earth Day, which means it's time to look at some eco-friendly tech products that can make your life a little more green without putting a dent in your savings account.

The Motorola Renew W233 Phone

The Motorola Renew W233 Phoneis the world's first mobile phone made from plastics from recycled water bottles. It is also the world's first carbon neutral phone. The case is actually 100 percent recyclable, and the rest is made from 25 percent post-consumer recycled plastics. The Renew is only $9.99 with a T-Mobile contract from Amazon.com. By itself, the phone costs $159.99 $68.75. [Correction: The phone by itself from T-Mobile is $59.99, and $9.99 with contract. The phone is $50.99 alone from Motorola.]

The Renew offers all the basic features of most mobile phones: text and picture messaging, a MP3 player, and a hands-free speakerphone. It can handle up to nine hours of talk time, and it's compatible with T-Mobile's MyFaves service, which gives you unlimited calling to your five most-called contacts. Even the box is more eco-friendly than most cell phones. The packaging has been reduced by 22 percent in comparison with the average Motorola packaging.

Newegg.com discounts

Newegg.com is offering a discount on a few of their eco-friendly items. Save 5 percent off of select green products with coupon code MMCHGREEN. The coupon is only good for the first 1,000 users, so if you see something that you like, move quickly. Among the products on sale is the Western Digital 2TB SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive for $229.99, and the XEROX Phaser Series 8560N Color Solid Ink Printer for $649. The deal also includes products like air conditioners, refrigerators, washers, and dryers.

Amazon DVD and Blu-ray sale
