EDS takes service overseas

Electronic Data Systems Corp. is bringing its Interactive Billing Services to Europe. The company's E.solutions unit will begin delivering the service, which is expected to generate an estimated $12 billion by 2005, overseas later this year. EDS is already delivering electronic bill presentment services in the United States to customers such as Bank One Corp.

EDS claims that electronic billing can save major billers up to 40 percent in printing, postage and mailing costs.
