News.com, and I touch on AOL's plans for Bebo and whether it can the portal can monetize the social network.

Meanwhile, Yahoo is holding informal talks with Microsoft. Why is this happening? Oh yeah the clock is ticking on Yahoo and it has second quarter earnings on deck.

And the big news of the week was New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's resignation and how IT played a big role in bringing down a prostitution ring that counted Spitzer as a customer.

Finally, we look at the semantic Web and how it could threaten Google at some point in the future--at least that's what Yahoo is hoping.
