In this week's EIC squared podcast Dan and I talk Google, its quarter and how it threw Comscore under the bus a bit and delivered an impressive one-day stock gain. Meanwhile, Google's stellar financials may have Microsoft yearning for Yahoo even more.

It was a busy week on the earnings front with Intel, IBM and AMD reporting. The big lesson: International sales and a weak dollar are padding the pockets of U.S. technology giants.

Also this Mac clone thing was just downright weird. A Florida company called Psystar is making Mac clones and generating plenty of buzz. The problem: No one is really sure whether this company can meet demand or is even legit. Tom Krazit at News.com and a bunch of ZDNet bloggers have been on the case. Tom actually ordered one for giggles. Better his money than mine. The Psystar saga gets weirder by the minute. See all ZDNet and News.com coverage.

And finally, Dan riffs on Microsoft's Albany launch and how it illustrates the software giant's hybrid strategy toward cloud computing. The big question is how long a software and services hybrid strategy will work until the tipping point falls in favor of cloud computing all the time.
