EMC boosts Asia-Pacific expansion with three offices in India

EMC has opened 3 offices in India as part of its plans to boost its regional presence through direct offices in each major Asia-Pacific country.

EMC Corporation today officially announced the opening of three new branch offices in India, namely Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Headquartered in Bangalore, they will provide sales support, system engineering, customer service support and channel management expertise to EMC's customers and channel partners in India.

EMC's operations in India is headed by Mr. T. Srinivasan - a twenty-year veteran in the IT industry. EMC itself is not a newcomer to the Indian subcontinent, having been represented through distributors and value-added resellers.

The new offices will complement the role of its current value-added resellers, with whom EMC will continue to work closely. EMC also has plans to expand its reseller partnerships in India to cover small to large companies in various industries and geographical locations.

This announcement is an extension of EMC's plans to boost its Asia-Pacific presence through direct offices in each major Asia-Pacific country. The addition of India puts EMC's coverage of the region at 12 countries with over 35 offices.
