in brief Ericsson has announced that its CEO for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, Sam Saba, will be heading up its Indonesia division in February.

Saba will take on the role of president director of Ericsson Indonesia in February, as global CTO Håkan Eriksson starts as the new CEO for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

In a statement, Arun Banal, president of Ericsson South-East Asia and Oceania, praised Saba's leadership in Australia, highlighting the company's deals with NBN Co and New Zealand's Chorus.

"Sam has made significant contributions to the Australian, New Zealand and Fiji markets. Under his leadership, we have been able to launch LTE with Telstra, commence roll-out of the NBN Co fixed-wireless network and supply fibre cable to Chorus and GPON to Northpower Fibre, as part of New Zealand's Ultra-Fast Broadband [UFB] Network," he said. "We are confident that Sam will bring the same passion and dedication to his new role in Indonesia."
