Following up last month's release of the X8100 Leopard, Eurocom has another large cat-dubbed notebook for us: the Panther 2.0 workstation.Like the X8100, the Panther 2.0 can be outfitted with up to 3TB of storage space with room for four internal hard drives. There's a lot of room for customization on this machine, and one of the most important specs should appeal to gamers with several graphics card options, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M, Quadro FX 2800M/FX 3800M/FX 5000M and ATI Radeon Mobility HD5870.

There's also a lenghty list of supported processors, ranging from Intel Core i7-930 2.80GHz, to Core i7-980X 3.33GHz to Intel Xeon W3680 3.33GHz.

Here's a rundown of some of the definite specs found within the hefty Panther 2.0, which weighs nearly 12 pounds:

  • 17.3-inch LED-backlit, glossy HD display (1,920 x 1,080 resolution)
  • DVD or Blu-ray reader/burner
  • Multiple-in-one card reader (MS/MS Pro/MS Duo/SD/Mini-SD/SDHC/SDXC compatible/MMC/RSMMC)
  • Five built-in speakers and a subwoofer
  • Connectivity: Two USB 3.0 ports, Three USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, HDMI 1.4-in, HDMI-out, DVi, IEEE1394b. S/PDIF, RJ-45, CATV-in, headphones, microphone, audio line-in

Predicted to be released later this month, pricing hasn't been announced yet. But with all of those stellar features, it could be one big scary number.
