Facebook on Monday said that it will roll out a redesigned version of the social networking site "over the coming days." The company said the design should make it easier to share information and deliver a cleaner experience via navigation tabs and other features.

Among the tweaks to Facebook's site (statement, Techmeme):

  • Facebook is integrating its social feeds and the Wall. The Wall surfaces stories about friends front and center.
  • User controls. Facebook said that users will have complete control over the stories published on their profile and adjust prominence and size of them.
  • New publisher features make it easier to upload photos, videos and other content.
  • Third party apps are also more tightly integrated.
