This data center follows last year's opening of a facility in Laconia, NH.

Continuing to provide technology beyond the land line phone service they started with, FairPoint Communications opened their second New England data center in Manchester, NH yesterday. This data center follows last year's opening of a facility in Laconia, NH.

The facility offers fully redundant power, multiple carriers, and real time monitoring of power usage. The raised floor data hall has 24x7 access and security, along with remote monitoring and automated building controls. Video monitoring and biometric security are also included in the data center environment.

Fairpoint Decision Tree

FairPoint is offering both turnkey and colo services at their data center locations and are marketing their experience running telco grade central office facilities as applicable to running a highly available data center for customers looking for everything from a primary data center site to a secondary, colo, or disaster recovery location.

FairPoint is using a pay as you go model and customers can start with as little as a half-rack of space. Customers are connected to the largest Ethernet network in northern New England and redundant fiber connections are available both to FairPoint's network and to the customer's provider of choice.

The Manchester facility became available to tenants as of June 11.
