in brief Macquarie Hosting this morning suffered degradation in parts of its shared storage area network, resulting in stability issues for some hosted websites.

Some of the sites affected include those under the Haymarket Media banner, including iTnews, PC Authority, Atomic MPC and CRN.

iTnews editor Brett Winterford posted a tweet stating the technical issues, and promised to be "back online shortly, with a full explanation".

Macquarie Telecom told ZDNet Australia in a statement that it is working to rectify the connectivity issues as soon as possible, but didn't elaborate on what the issue was.
