Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc. in November added three new laser printers to its PrintPartner line.

The PrintPartner 14ADV, which replaces the earlier PrintPartner 14AV (see 01.13.97, Page 6); the PrintPartner 14PRO; and PrintPartner 14NET each output 14 monochrome pages per minute at a true resolution of 600 dpi. Fujitsu said the printers are capable of producing output at resolutions up to 1,200 dpi using the company's Enhanced Imaging Technology.

The PrintPartner 14ADV ships with 3 Mbytes of RAM; the 14PRO and 14NET ship with 11 Mbytes. Each printer can accommodate up to 67 Mbytes of RAM, the company said. The 14PRO ships with a duplex package; duplexing is available as an option for the 14ADV and 14NET.

Ethernet connectivity is available as an option for the 14ADV and 14PRO; the 14NET ships with an Ethernet card. The company said the 14ADV will have an EtherTalk option available this month for $349.

In addition, Fujitsu said each new PrintPartner model is compatible with PCL5e and Adobe PostScript Level 2 page description languages and can automatically switch between them.

The laser printers can accommodate paper up to 8.5 by 14.3 inches. Each comes with a 500-sheet paper tray.

Currently available, the PrintPartner 14ADV, 14PRO and 14NET cost $1,099, $1,449 and $1,549, respectively.
