Telstra's chief technology officer Dr Hugh Bradlow doesn't think so.

He told the Communications Alliance's Broadband and Beyond conference earlier this week that we'll likely see 10 times more base stations across the country, and a mix of technology deployed across the networks, trying to get latency down to ensure that customers are getting decent download speeds.
