Yesterday, Telstra launched Australia's first long-term evolution (LTE) handset in Australia, the HTC Velocity 4G. So, is it any good?

It certainly passes the speed test, getting download speeds in our Sydney CBD office of 34 megabits per second (Mbps), compared to the iPhone 4S operating on Telstra's Next G network at 5Mbps.

But given that Telstra only offers the phone with 2GB per month in data on the $79 plan, is there much point in having all that speed without really being able to use it?
