Gadgets win out over sex

Nearly one in ten men forget sex and play with high-tech toys instead
Written by Matthew Broersma, Contributor

Why have sex when you can twiddle with all your consumer electronics devices?

The question may be more relevant than you think. Eight percent of men in a random survey said they have less sex because of the time they spend with their gadgets.

The same study -- carried out in New York City by Youth Intelligence on behalf of Playboy Magazine -- found other traditional male activities were under attack from the growth of interest in techie toys.

More than half of the 750 men surveyed said they spent less time watching TV and going to the cinema, while 36 percent said they are spending less time outdoors.

A third said they spend less time playing sports or exercising and nearly 80 percent said they take at least one consumer electronics device with them on holiday.
