The tournament, dubbed Wiimbledon, has been panned by real jocks. But for the geek set it may be the biggest thing since Atari, Intellivision and Coleco.

One of the folks behind the tournament, Steve Bryant, is already getting press calls from some British journalists.

Disclosure: Steve is a former reporter of mine at eWeek. He's a wacky for the Wii--and beer.
