The Printer Working Group (PWG) is looking for your insights and feedback in order to help define standards that will assist users in the implementation of Managed Print Services.  So the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) is asking members to  fill out some brief surveys, which Doc wholeheartedly endorses. The first of nine monthly surveys launched in October, in which the PWG provided a brief overview of their organization and standards currently underway.

Upcoming Schedule: Over the next several months, the PWG will continue to survey the members of the MPSA in order to gain guidance in the following key areas that affect Managed Print Services: 1.    Managed Print Services and Imaging Device Standards – The PWG (October) 2.    Hardcopy Security– Network Access Control (November) 3.    Hardcopy Device Power Management  (December) 4.    Management, Accounting and Device Utilization Issues (January) 5.    The New Printing/Hardcopy Environments - Cloud Printing, Mobile Printing (February) 6.    Cloud Printing (March) 7.    Mobile Printing (April) 8.    "Green Printing" (May) 9.    Hardcopy Security – User and Administrative Information Security  (June)

The MPSA is asking all members to take a few minutes to complete these surveys and help the PWG support the Managed Print Services Industry. The Printer Working Group is a Program of the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (ISTO) and its members include most of the major printer manufacturers.
