Good Technology acquires Macheen, bolsters BYOD efforts

Good Technology on Tuesday said it has acquired Macheen, which provides mobile cloud applications.

Macheen provides a software as a service platform that rides on top of wireless plans and applies corporate policies to offer just the amount of bandwidth needed. Macheen's software is used in bring your own device implementations.

For Good, Macheen, a privately held outfit based in Austin, Texas, helps it bolster its BYOD offerings. Good has said the next big more in enterprise mobility management will be offering split billing services so employees and corporations can track data associated with work and personal apps.

According to Good, Macheen's software distribution can be advanced with the company's carrier relationships.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
