Good Technology on Wednesday rolled out iPhone support in its enterprise management suite at the CTIA Wireless conference.

Good Technology, which is now owned by Visto, said it was adding iPhone security and device management tools to its Good for Enterprise 6.0 suite. In a nutshell, Good is including iPhone as one of the devices it can track and manage with its software.

In a statement, Good argued that iPhone enterprise deployments have been held back by manual tracking of users and device management is too labor intensive. In other words, it's ok for the CEO and CFO to run around with an iPhone, but rolling Apple's flagship phone to an entire workforce isn't scalable.

The key components of Good's iPhone enterprise support include:

  • Over-air provisioning of email access;
  • Configuration for email, WiFi and VPN settings;
  • Device password policy enforcement;
  • Restricting email to one device;
  • Remote wipe of the entire device.

Good will launch a beta for its iPhone support later in April.
