With the Diamond Jubiliee celebrations coming up in June, Google has posted a video showing the route of Queen Elizabeth II's procession in London.

The video traces the route from New Palace Yard near the Houses of Parliament to Buckingham Palace, going via Whitehall, the Cenotaph and Downing Street, with a drive around Trafalgar Square along the way. The view in Google Earth shows 3D recreations of the buildings and landmarks that the procession will pass on 5 June.

People unable to get to London for the 60-year anniversary of the Queen's reign — or unwilling to deal with the expected crowds — can take part vicariously using Earth View in Google Maps or the 3D view in Google Earth, the company said in a post to the LatLong blog on Monday.
