Google embraces reality

The company that would change everything recognizes some limits. That's a good thing.

Nice to see that Google has started to make peace with media companies by actually treating them like partners, not incidental barriers to free content. The more Google engages the real costs of the stuff it indexes, the better off it will be. Sustainable business recognizes all the components of the market that create value, even if it is more expensive to do so. 

Our little Google is growing up, which is good for everyone.
