Google partner adds elite Maps designation

Summary:A Google reseller since 2002, Onix Networking has been building out its geospatial solutions and services capabilities since earlier this year.

Onix Networking, which was Google's Enterprise Partner of the Year for 2012 , has stepped up its technical skills related to Google's Enterprise Maps for Business platform.

That effort has earned Onix a Premier Reseller designation for the Google mapping and geospatial technologies. This gives the integrator a trifecta of Premier status recognitions for Google: Apps, Search and Maps. It is also one of the few partners authorized to provide Customer Success Services .

The Google Maps for Business services enable companies to layer their own data on top of the Google base maps to create their own customized apps and applications. The solutions include Google Maps Engine, Google Maps Engine Pro, Google Maps Coordinate, or Google Maps application programming interfaces (APIs).

An example of what a company could create: a better-documented safety plan for emergency services personnel, maintenance information for a facilities team, or store floor plans for internal merchandising or better customer service.

Recognized among the top 100 cloud services companies, Onix has handled some pretty big corporate cloud migrations: include a 90,000-seat project for the U.S. Department of the Interior and a 12,000-user deal with the Canadian Broadcasting Company (officially CBC/Radio-Canada).
