I am regularly taking pictures of customer's driver's licenses for work whenever a photocopier is not available. The only problem is that the iPhone 3G's camera phone takes blurry pictures at three inches. Although the results are passable they're barely satisfactory. After purchasing the Griffin Clarifi case ($35) the results are 100% better.

The detail of the driver's license at three inches is crystal clear. I can't attest to whether or not it would be worthy of scientific quality, for that I would opt instead for a USB microscope but overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and really appreciate this simple iPhone add-on.

I've avoided having a case on my iPhone, but with the benefit of the Griffin Clarifi, I surprisingly don't mind.  The only drawback is the $35 price tag which should be about 30% less in a price-value analysis.
